Note: This post is part of a series where I listen to an album each day in December. Past posts can be found on my substack. All hyperlinked songs go to Spotify links, Youtube links can be found at the end of the post.
Happy Christmas everyone! I wanted to leave you with a quick post and one last Christmas album for the end of the holiday season.
PJ Morton effortlessly takes classic Christmas songs and makes them his own on Christmas with PJ Morton. When the cannon of Christmas music becomes stale and all you hear are new voices imitating crooners or overly produced pop, PJ Morton comes to the rescue with vibrant tunes and energetic reimaginations.
My favorites are “Do You Believe,” “Give Love On Christmas Day,” and a laidback version of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” The album has great features including Yolanda Adams and Stokley, who help spread the holiday cheer.
I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday and I look forward to writing a few more posts this month that will be more in-depth.
Until Tomorrow,
Emily x
